Mango - Saigon
The Saigon Mango is a Vietnamese mango of quiet elegance — a low to moderately vigorous tree with a graceful rounded canopy that suits both home gardens and specialist orchards (Campbell, 1992).
The fruit weighing 250–350 g, with a smooth greenish-yellow to bright yellow skin that only rarely hints at a blush of pink. Inside, the pale yellow pulp is entirely fiber-less and melts on the palate with a mild, sweet flavour and a delicate, pleasant aroma — consistently rated good to very good.
An early to midseason cultivar, 'Saigon' is among the first to ripen each season, offering a refined taste of summer before the peak harvest arrives.
