Tropical - Hog Plum aka Ambarella

Hog Plum Green fruit are tangy and sweet, taste like a mix of pineapple and mango with a crunchy texture. When ripe it fruit is much sweeter with a pineapple-like fragrance. Young leaves are edible and can be added to salads or cooked as greens. Young trees are cold sensitive and should be protected from frost and strong wind.
